Government funding is available for children aged between two and four years. Currently, all children aged three and four are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare per week and, depending on their parent’s working situation, some children aged from two years will be entitled up to 30 hours.

Eligibility for 30 hours funded childcare

To be eligible families must meet the following criteria:

  • Both parents must be working (or the sole parent in a single-parent family)
  • Each parent must have a weekly income equivalent to 16 hours at national minimum or living wage
  • Neither parent has an income of more than £100,000 per year

For those eligible, you could be entitled to funded childcare over a 38 week per year.
